“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV

Community. Many of us long for it, yet so many of us don't know where to turn to find it. It's in community, or relationships, that we find freedom. It's in the midst of friends and those around us who will encourage us that we begin to hope and believe for more.

I believe that having people around me to encourage me makes the mountaintops so much sweeter and the valleys not so bad. At VOUS Church, we find community in small groups—what we like to call VOUS Crews. VOUS Crews are special because we find not only those who will encourage us, but so much more. We find people who genuinely love us, people who want nothing but the best for us...we find family.

Community isn’t just a place where we go to meet twice a month. What I’ve found in community is a group of people who are there for me 24/7. I’ve found that community is the people I get to hang out with after work. It’s a group of friends that I go to the beach with or go on spontaneous adventures with to make memories. It’s the friends that I chose to surround myself with that have made me the man I am today. The ones that keep me in check are the same ones that will celebrate my victories.

Community. It’s something we all need. We need a crew of people around us. You need it, and the longer I’m on this faith journey, the more I realize that I definitely need it.

I would encourage you to give crew a shot. There’s a group of people waiting to meet you!
